I would like to extend a warm welcome to everyone visiting our website. Ferndale Nursery and Primary School is a vibrant, friendly place where the children are at the heart of everything we do. We believe in teaching skills, sharing knowledge and building special memories that children will take with them through the rest of their lives, giving them a solid foundation for their future.

We offer a rich and diverse curriculum where children are provided with opportunities to explore exciting topics

We have our own Forest school program which we run in our on-site school forest. Staff have run survival days where the children were ’shipwrecked’ and had to spend the day collecting wood for the fire, building their shelters and cooking their own food.

Values education is a large part of our school. We believe that instilling morality and a strong sense of values is more important than ever in today’s society. Every month we have a different Value which we share and discuss in assemblies and in class. Look out for some fantastic Values-based artwork through our school.

Parents and Carers play a crucial role in the education of their child and as a result we are keen to forge strong links between home and school. The success of our school is dependent upon the strength of the partnerships we build with everyone in our school community.
